For the past ten days, I have not worked…other than a few year end wrap items and simply enjoyed family while feasting. I have really had little to do. Every detail was done.
There is no one that I have met in my existence that pulls off holidays like my mom. She organizes, plans, cooks and bakes two to three gourmet meals a day and hosts uncles, aunts, cousins, grandparents, children, grandchildren, in-laws and more at our family farm.
This year has been extraordinary and exceptional.
For New Years Eve, we once again….
feasted.
Since there was a blizzard outside,
Mama Jane just made sure she had fireworks we could do inside the house.
When the weather outside is frightful, there is nothing more delightful than fireworks…especially when you are three years old…
or thirteen years old.
We cleaned up.
We snowmobiled and…
practiced our horse back riding.
Mama Jane had about ten different pies for us to choice from and our teenager decided pie for breakfast was necessary.
But the feasting and fun had to come to an end.
We said our farewells to the feasting at the farm and headed back to our corner of the prairie.

Our 2011 is off to a full start.

These photos are priceless! I looked at them last night and just had to come back this morning for a peek. You really captured the girls’ spirits. Love them. Love you.

I like how Hunter thinks. If there are sweets in the house, I always eat them for breakfast! What better way to start a day??
