Most Beautiful Treasure Hunting Find

Filed Under: Misc. Tagged With: treasure hunting 2 Comments

Early in the fall, Miss E and I went treasure hunting on the prairie to our friend’s local auction sale.

Miss E and I found a fabulous Capiz shell lamp and purchased it for a deal.
Rather to keep it at our house, it was delivered 80 miles across the prairie to my sister and brother-in-law’s house.
I love the lamp and I loved purchasing it knowing it had been in our friend’s family for decades and now would be treasured by our family, especially by my vintage loving sister.

We stopped by to visit and the lamp has now been hung.
Here’s a peek at the treasure:

Isn’t it stunningly beautiful?

Miss E was happy to see the treasure in Auntie K’s living room.
Today we are anxious for Auntie K to arrive at our house. She is our party planner and organizer.
And we have a party to throw! Someone is soon to turn 3 years old.
Who is turning three?
First this blog turns three and then Miss E!
Time flies.

I remember that lamp from your earlier post–looks great! I can’t wait to see pics of E’s birthday party—sounds right up a 3-year old pink princess’ alley! Have fun 🙂

Welcome to the Prairie…

I am a mom of three kids and a wife to Nathan. Together we live on the North Dakota prairie, 97 miles from a Starbuck's. I share about family, food, farming and the prairie that I love. I used to commute 98 miles one-way to work but it required too much coffee. So now I am home, consulting, speaking, writing and primarily, juggling family life.
