I refuse to let 2010 be remembered by what it really looks like outside today on the North Dakota prairie.
It’s a brutal blizzard of high winds, ice and snow.
Instead, you can relish and enjoy our frosty winter which I captured earlier this week along with my new sidekick and sure to be close and personal friend. She was given to me as a Christmas gift by my husband, kids and sister-in-law. She was also accompanied by a zoom lens from my in-laws.
Yes she is a new Canon digital SLR camera which I certainly will be blogging about more soon and you will be seeing much more of her work.
This is her Pinke Post debut…fresh out of the box with out a manual being read.
Please give her a warm welcome as she shows you her frosty farm photos.
The serenity of days like this one are cemented into my mind so I can try to remember that indeed I do appreciate days of winter.
Just not today when the roads are closed and the wind is howling.
Today is our farewell to 2010. I can hardly believe it is time to start a new year and decade.
Time moves now at a run away train speed. Each year goes by faster and I can’t slow it down or freeze it in these frosty moments.
But we cherish the moments….even the little moments….like snowmobile rides.
Miss E has Daddy’s need for speed. She is no longer content for short snowmobile rides in a circle in the yard. She wants to learn to go fast. |
This has been a year of memories that I will forever cherish and thankfully they are captured on this blog. Otherwise I wouldn’t remember all of them!
I am thankful for a year of joy, happiness, health, blessings, challenges that made us stronger and blizzard to end the year frosty trees.
I have a tremendous amount of gratitude for each of you. Thank you for your comments, compassion, encouragement, fun, humor, willingness to read my ramblings and share in our life on the prairie.
What about you?
What is one moment or thing you want to remember and cherish from 2010?
