Can it be 3 years ago today? Happy Birthday Miss E!

Filed Under: Family Values Tagged With: birthdays, family, milestones 5 Comments

This blog was birthed just five days ahead of when I birthed Miss E. Indeed, introducing her to the world was my second ever blog post.
You have seen her ever since and know all about our beloved Miss E via this blog.
Today Miss Elizabeth Carolyn Jane is THREE years old.
I know. That means about twelve of you have been reading this blog for three years.
Can you believe it?
Miss E is proud to tell her name is “E-YIZ-A-BEF” but her nickname is “E-YSSA”.
We also like to call her ECJ and Busy Bits.
She is the busiest, most bubbly, pizazzy (I just invented that word) young girl we have ever known.
Today she is wearing her “E-YIZA-BEF” pink reindeer out fit to Lori’s daycare with Pinkalicious cupcakes that she and I made as snacks for all the kids.
Tonight at her request we will celebrate with a family bash including her grandparents. I told I would make her whatever she wanted to eat. Her request? She wants Knoephla soup for her birthday supper.
She is indeed an authentic North Dakota girl when at three she wants German Russian soup for her birthday supper.
We love you Miss E. You light up our lives early each morning and even sometimes in the middle of the night when you would rather look at the stars at 3:30AM than sleep. You are an original that will always keep us on our toes and laughing each day.
Happy 3rd Birthday!

Yep, that made me cry! Can’t believe your sweet baby girl is 3! To say time flies doesn’t do it justice! Happy Birthday, Miss E! I remember when your mama was a mere 3 months pregnant with you!!

Welcome to the Prairie…

I am a mom of three kids and a wife to Nathan. Together we live on the North Dakota prairie, 97 miles from a Starbuck's. I share about family, food, farming and the prairie that I love. I used to commute 98 miles one-way to work but it required too much coffee. So now I am home, consulting, speaking, writing and primarily, juggling family life.
