My former college roommate and friend, Sara Stevenson Hale and her husband Aaron’s youngest son Townes needs your prayers today regarding complications closing up his chest yesterday following his heart related arch reconstruction and Fontan surgery in Los Angeles yesterday. Please visit the CaringBridge site to read the journal. Townes lost a lot of blood. He was stabilized and needs your prayers today for the next regulation steps in the procedure to be tackled. Sara is 7 months pregnant with their fifth child. Townes has two older brothers, Owen and Max and an older sister, Evelyn. I cannot imagine what they are going through right now and know the one thing I can do is pray and ask you to join me.
Updated: On Facebook, Sara just asked to add this boy from Michigan, Bowen, to your prayers who also has Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS) like Townes and is now on full life support following a surgery yesterday.
Another friend of Sara’s to pray for is Baby Bennett.
All three boys need prayers.

Thanks for posting these, Katie. It just breaks my heart to read these, esp. the one about Cohen. My baby boy Eric is going to be 15 tomorrow (his golden birthday) and I can’t imagine life without him and am so thankful for his strong and healthy body.
It will be awhile before I will be able to sleep tonight…I will be offering prayers of thanksgiving for my baby boy and prayers of healing and comfort for those other 2 babies and the three sets of parents.
