Wednesday smiles

Before we left the house this morning I took a quick picture of the kids. They all were so happy and smiley. Although you can see Anika was still chilled and sleepy but regardless happy. E is making a fashion statement today with striped socks, plaid capris and a polka dot fleece–and a smile to pull it all off with style. You can’t see it but Hunter is wearing shorts and he won’t freeze in them.
 It must be spring!
The weather is finally beautiful enough for Hunter to ride his bike to and from school. Yesterday the wind was tremendous and I saw him coming home from the lumberyard, chasing after his hat and pedaling as hard as he could up the road. Today the wind has resided. We have clear sky, sun and warm April temperatures. The prairie song birds are singing outside my office window. All great reasons to be smiling on this spring Wednesday!

Wow, that bottom photo is very cool! You’re really lucky to live somewhere with so much land around you! 🙂

Welcome to the Prairie…

I am a mom of three kids and a wife to Nathan. Together we live on the North Dakota prairie, 97 miles from a Starbuck's. I share about family, food, farming and the prairie that I love. I used to commute 98 miles one-way to work but it required too much coffee. So now I am home, consulting, speaking, writing and primarily, juggling family life.
