Last night we finally ventured out of the house for the first time since Wednesday morning. We drove a few blocks to Nana (Gma Carol) and Gpa Eldon’s house, driving past Hunter’s school on the way to see a snow drift over a door entrance and touching the roof. There were a few more presents still unopened at Gma and Gpa’s house. And it was there that Auntie Lori delivered…
Miss Elizabeth her first BMW.
E got in her new wheels and shouted “Hey gimme me my hoffee (coffee)!” There is not a morning I leave the house without a mug of coffee in my hand. Rain or shine or blizzard, winter or summer, coffee and I are best friends each morning. And our girl too likes her java cruising in her Beemer. She looks much cuter and cooler with her coffee driving a silver BMW convertible than I do driving a white Honda van (otherwise known as the Odyssey).
Our big girl will be pedaling around the Beemer for the next few months indoors and awaiting spring for her outdoor adventures in her new wheels.
Auntie Lori also hand-crocheted the most adorable pretend food items for the girls to use in their new kitchen or on the table and chairs Nana and Gpa got for their house.
I am always in awe of people who can create beautiful hand-made items, being that I cannot hem my own pants much less sew or crochet gifts for others. From cake to strawberries to green peas to corn on the cob to chicken drumsticks, Auntie Lori made them all.
She is quite an auntie!
