Blue chair

When I was in late elementary school years, my parents purchased a blue leather wing back chair for our living room. It became the time out chair for my younger siblings. I wonder how many hours of Joe’s life was spent on the blue chair? Robbie and Kirsti had their share of time outs on it too. I was just grounded in those years. No time outs for me. I also remember my short lived house cat London clawing at the blue chair. The chair still has a home next to the fire place in my parent’s living room. I love sitting in the chair today and so does some one else!
She even shares the space sometimes.

And neither have had a time out in the blue chair…yet.
(Believe it or not, Elizabeth does get her hair combed or brushed and neatly done every day, usually by me. But she is looking rather dishevelled in these pictures. Her indepedent streak has hit hair combing. Only in the morning while I am holding her on my knee while she protests does she get her hair combed. So the above pictures are what Miss E looks like at the END of the day!)

Miss LoLo has the same hair issues. She loves her long hair but is NOT a fan of getting it combed. It’s a daily struggle but she insists that she doesn’t want it cut short. 😉

Welcome to the Prairie…

I am a mom of three kids and a wife to Nathan. Together we live on the North Dakota prairie, 97 miles from a Starbuck's. I share about family, food, farming and the prairie that I love. I used to commute 98 miles one-way to work but it required too much coffee. So now I am home, consulting, speaking, writing and primarily, juggling family life.
