Holding Anika

Filed Under: Uncategorized Leave a Comment

Anika is a popular attraction around our home and is always being held She is such a sweet baby no one seems to mind holding her! Uncle Joe
Auntie Kirsti

Uncle Robbie

Big brother Hunter
And finally Anika is awake on a photo!

Big brother and big sister holding Anika.
Big sister Elissa thought it was HER turn to hold Anika by herself on this picture. It always has to be her idea and when it is not you can see the reaction we get. Anika does not seem to mind the commotion though. Hunter also takes it all in stride. But I think his smile says “welcome to organized chaos!”
I have a collection of pictures from the past week of what we call “Busy Bits” that would be a nickname that came from my mom for Elizabeth. I will post the Busy Bits collection later this week. Kirsti said over the weekend to me that I really need to post 30 seconds of video of Elissa just so every can really see how busy she is. This morning she is keeping Nana busy and our house is quiet. Anika is sleeping in the baby swing. Hunter is reading. I have been puked on by dear Anika but have had a shower, brushed my teeth and made my bed. Check check check. And started laundry and now am going to make some lunch. My mat leave days as a stay at home mama are so different than my working days but I cherish and love each day.

Welcome to the Prairie…

I am a mom of three kids and a wife to Nathan. Together we live on the North Dakota prairie, 97 miles from a Starbuck's. I share about family, food, farming and the prairie that I love. I used to commute 98 miles one-way to work but it required too much coffee. So now I am home, consulting, speaking, writing and primarily, juggling family life.
