Tonight after some collaboration with my friend Katie L’s husband Elton, we managed to pull off a surprise 30th birthday party for her! Happy Birthday Katie.
Katie and me before the guests arrived…there ended up being five or so more families that came to celebrate her big day. Katie thought it was just our family coming over for pizza…until the door bell rang again and again and more and more people kept filing in…and more pizzas also arrived. I cut cake, Hunter scooped out the ice cream and we all had a grand evening.
Elizabeth was most impressed by her friend “Baby”. Otherwise known as Ethan.(Look closely her new t-shirt says “CUTE is my middle name”! And it’s yellow…we are going to start sporting the spring colors and force our friend Spring to arrive on the frozen tundra.)
And yesterday during my leave from blogging (also known as a road trip to the Fargo office and where Miss E and I both got to see Mama Jane and Gpa Fred) our wonderful friend and loyal Pinke Post follower Nancy celebrated her birthday. Happy belated birthday Nancy! We miss the entire Swenson family and hope to see you later this spring!
And there is another friend named Katie with a birthday later this week and another 30th…Mrs. Barnett who I still fondly call Miss McCoy, my dear friend who was my college roommate twelve yes twelve years ago…look for a tribute to Katie later this week.
Love the cleaning thing…I need to get Rody one of those! Oh gosh, has it been 12 years???!!! CRAZY!!!!
