Big girl puddin’ eatin’

Filed Under: Uncategorized Leave a Comment

I remember drinking pudding when I was pregnant with Hunter. And tonight I had one of those pudding cravings so I made some instant, sugar-free pistachio pudding. Instead of eating (or drinking)the whole batch myself, I shared. Of course I didn’t really eat mine. I was trying to feed Elizabeth some and share. Not her idea. She took over and wanted to show how she could eat just like her daddy and brother. And I watched…while taking pictures, hoping to still to get some pudding.
Hunter quickly says “How old are you Elissa?” And then before she gets her 1 finger up, he says “Show us what number your basketball team is going to be your senior year!” She thinks it is quite a game. And Hunter is so proud. He has big plans for his little sister.

Forget the spoon. She inherited my instinct to just drink the pudding. But it was too set by now and she went back to her new found skill…big girl spoon feeding.

Now I’m a hungry pregnant mommy again after posting these pictures…time for a bedtime non-pudding snack. I’ll try again tomorrow for pudding and may eat (or drink) my pudding alone in order to get some to myself.

(Note: MOM, remember when you had to send me pistachio pudding when I was at UGA? It as nowhere to be found in Kroger’s, Publix or Winn-Dixie…y’all don’t know what you’re missin’ down south!)

Welcome to the Prairie…

I am a mom of three kids and a wife to Nathan. Together we live on the North Dakota prairie, 97 miles from a Starbuck's. I share about family, food, farming and the prairie that I love. I used to commute 98 miles one-way to work but it required too much coffee. So now I am home, consulting, speaking, writing and primarily, juggling family life.
