Sick Monkey

Filed Under: Uncategorized Leave a Comment

Our sick monkey Elissa and her friend Emerson the Skunk
In order to capture this photo Hunter was jumping up and down being a wild man behind me. And the sick monkey smiled with glee at her brother the basketball player.

Hunter (minus his basketball head mask) and his friends Joel, Jacob, Noah, Isabella and Emerson (sisters to Noah)
Hunter, Nathan and friends are out now at the local community Halloween party for kids.

Dinosaurs (and brothers) Ryken and Parker came to visit their friend the sick monkey. When it comes to dinosaur facts, Ryken is the most knowledgeable four year old kid. He can tell all details of every dinosaur.
Thanks to our friend Sam (birthday boy today) for sharing his monkey costume with us.

Hunter’s masterpieces

We had early morning visit to the doctor’s office. Indeed Elizabeth is a sick monkey today. A combination viral and bacterial infection. Yuck. She had an antibiotic shot in her leg to hopefully clear up the bacteria so she can fight off the virus. Her ears hurt, her throat hurts and overall she likes to be held. But she still made a cute monkey. And she is going back to the doctor’s office on Monday morning to check to see if she is better.

Thanks Auntie Lori for the “first Halloween” card!

Amazing when the Motrin kicked in, Elissa still managed to find the candy bowl! And so did her mommy.

Welcome to the Prairie…

I am a mom of three kids and a wife to Nathan. Together we live on the North Dakota prairie, 97 miles from a Starbuck's. I share about family, food, farming and the prairie that I love. I used to commute 98 miles one-way to work but it required too much coffee. So now I am home, consulting, speaking, writing and primarily, juggling family life.
