In honor of Alaska

Filed Under: Uncategorized Leave a Comment

We had to celebrate Gov. Sarah Palin from Alaska by making Baked Alaska on Friday night! Okay maybe Lori had planned to make this ahead of time with Hunter but the timing of it all was very fitting.
Baking Alaska!
Our dinner party included Nathan’s parents, sister Lori, Aunt Pam, Uncle Dale, Cousin Kevin and his wife Tammy and their sons Austin and Connor. The Baked Alaska was yummy and too bad I didn’t get a photo of Pam who actually was wearing a shirt with “Alaska” written on it. And Pam and Dale brought pictures from their summer Alaskan vacation. Cousin Connor and Elizabeth are second cousins and 7 weeks a part in age.

Welcome to the Prairie…

I am a mom of three kids and a wife to Nathan. Together we live on the North Dakota prairie, 97 miles from a Starbuck's. I share about family, food, farming and the prairie that I love. I used to commute 98 miles one-way to work but it required too much coffee. So now I am home, consulting, speaking, writing and primarily, juggling family life.
