South Border Mustang’s Pee Wrestling Team
Winners of the Lisbon dual tournament
Hunter with a win…and he FINALLY listened (after his grandpa’s strong suggestion) and wore his headgear on his next match to avoid having cauliflower ear someday!!!

Hunter had surprise fans in the stands when his grandparents and I showed up in Lisbon for his first dual meet last night.

Happy wrestler after a win

Learning to wrestle and win against a boy that beat (and pinned) him earlier in the season.

On Tuesday, Elissa and I road tripped after work with another mom friend and went to the wrestling match in Edgeley. This is BY FAR the most wrestling I have ever watched in my total lifetime and it all happened in two evenings this week. But it is fun to see Hunter enjoying it and loving the competition.
Spring has finally sprung in the banana belt of North Dakota! I was hopeful we would actually get to start taking daily walks with the baby now that it is warmer (relative to the COLD winter) temperatures and longer days. But our baby Elissa has caught her first nasty cold. We made a visit to the doctors office late this afternoon and now have some eye drops to put in her eyes four times a day. Not enjoyable for the baby or the parents!

Welcome to the Prairie…

I am a mom of three kids and a wife to Nathan. Together we live on the North Dakota prairie, 97 miles from a Starbuck's. I share about family, food, farming and the prairie that I love. I used to commute 98 miles one-way to work but it required too much coffee. So now I am home, consulting, speaking, writing and primarily, juggling family life.
