Celebrating Easter

Happy Easter!

Daddy time after church today

Easter girl sitting on Grandpa Eldon’s lap…Auntie Lori sent bunny slippers in the mail for the Elissa to wear. Very cozy and cute.

Ready for church.
The Easter Bunny filled Elissa and Hunter’s new baskets with some goodies today. Our friends the Strinden’s gave us new baskets with liners that each have their own name monogrammed on them! Nathan played trombone to “Christ the Lord is Risen Today” from the balcony in church today and Elissa looked up to watch and listen. She is familiar to the trombone sound since she listened to her daddy practice each day this week and he sounded awesome today. It was a beautiful church service. We miss Hunter but he is coming home tomorrow after much anticipated visit to the farm to hang out with his buddies/cousins Logan and Wyatt and uncles Joe and Robbie–along with the rest of the family gang. The boys are intensely following their brackets and watching NCAA basketball. We stayed home to work on the house. Elissa and I have hung out all weekend…and actually it is Nathan working on the house along with his dad and installing cabinets. I will get ready tonight for my first business travel since before maternity leave. It is only for a few days and I’ll be checking this blog to look at pictures each night! Hunter’s wrestling meet from last week was postponed a couple weeks so eventually we will post wrestling pictures! Next weekend many of our family members will be here to celebrate Elizabeth Carolyn Jane’s baptism. It will another celebration weekend and we are excited for everyone to be here.

Welcome to the Prairie…

I am a mom of three kids and a wife to Nathan. Together we live on the North Dakota prairie, 97 miles from a Starbuck's. I share about family, food, farming and the prairie that I love. I used to commute 98 miles one-way to work but it required too much coffee. So now I am home, consulting, speaking, writing and primarily, juggling family life.
