Hunter, Elissa and I headed north last weekend and watched Joe in his district tournament. Last August on the night before the first day of Joe’s senior year the town of Northwood was destroyed in a tornado which led to Joe attending a different school. He attends Dakota Prairie with another former teammate from Northwood. Next week they have the regional tournament. And when Joe’s senior basketball season does end it will be the end of an era for our family. I started organized sports in 1983. 25 years of attending youth or high school games, matches and meets has been quite an adventure for my parents and our entire family. Thankfully we still have two more years of watching Kirsti playing college volleyball and hopefully years of games to attend for Hunter and Elissa. Hunter’s first ever pee wee wrestling meet is this Friday. We purchased head gear and padded knee pads yesterday. Wrestling is a new sport for Hunter but he is always game to try something new. And since I know nothing about it, he is grateful that his mom will be a quiet fan in the stands!
Kicking and smiling baby
Elizabeth has found kicking her legs and punching her fists is a new favorite activity. She has found her voice and shouts out instructions during her exercise routine.
