Best buddies

Auntie Lori gave Hunter a camera for Christmas so now Elissa is double photographed every day. And I think on this picture she is saying “ENOUGH of the cameras. Let me rest!”

Hunter warming up for his district free throw contest. He finished in second place. A few older boys from Wishek won their age division so Hunter is inspired to do the same next year.

Elissa doesn’t lack attention!
Mama Jane getting in her hugs with Elissa. We attended a women’s brunch at our local church in Wishek on Saturday morning. The speaker was Roxy Henke, an well-known and published author from Wishek. She gave an amazingly inspirational talk. I am getting started on reading her books this week. You can learn more at: http://www.roxannehenke.com/
All of my girlfriends, aunts, cousins and who ever else keeps up with this blog will enjoy her books so check it out.

Hanging out with Uncles Joe and Robbie…

On walk with Uncle Robbie

My parents and brother Joe arrived on Friday night and brother Robbie on Saturday. They spent the weekend. Elissa loved looking at Grandpa Fred and his red plaid shirt.

Elissa loves her bear friends above her swing. We now call them Mama Bear, Papa Bear and Baby Bear. She “talks” to them daily.

Insulated outside walls! This is Hunter’s room. He is debating what fathead he should plaster on the wall of his new room. If you don’t know what a fathead is: http://www.fathead.com/

In our garage…it is the insulation blower box…at least I think that is what Nathan told me.

Looking out from our master bedroom…to the right will be our bathroom, closet and exercise room area. Straight ahead is the stairway and then you can see the hallway to the laundry room and kids’ bedrooms.
We love house progress!

Stairway to second story. Nathan and his dad spent long and late hours over the weekend working on the house and the electrician and crew worked too.

We have a fireplace! This is in our living room on the main floor.

Welcome to the Prairie…

I am a mom of three kids and a wife to Nathan. Together we live on the North Dakota prairie, 97 miles from a Starbuck's. I share about family, food, farming and the prairie that I love. I used to commute 98 miles one-way to work but it required too much coffee. So now I am home, consulting, speaking, writing and primarily, juggling family life.
