Introducing…Elizabeth Carolyn Jane!

Born Sunday, December 9th, 2007 @ 2:43PM.
8 lbs. 4 0z., 21″ in length

We are truly blessed with a safe and healthy daughter and baby sister. Elizabeth Carolyn Jane (nicknamed Elissa) blessed us with her early arrival yesterday afternoon and is simply a joy and delight to our entire family. As you can see by the pictures, she has a head full of dark hair and loves to suck on her fists. Elissa’s first visitors were her big brother Hunter, Auntie Kirsti and both sets of grandparents. Mom and Elissa are healthy and will return home on Tuesday afternoon where Mama Jane will join us for a week.
We’ll update you more when we return home–both with more family news and pictures!

I am so excited that Princess Pinke is finally here. She is a cutie. From the first pictures, I think she looks like a Lukens. I can’t wait to see her and give her a squeeze.

Welcome to the Prairie…

I am a mom of three kids and a wife to Nathan. Together we live on the North Dakota prairie, 97 miles from a Starbuck's. I share about family, food, farming and the prairie that I love. I used to commute 98 miles one-way to work but it required too much coffee. So now I am home, consulting, speaking, writing and primarily, juggling family life.
